Momentum is a student organization that connects finance, software, and engineering talent through semester-long, industry-relevant projects.

General member applications are closed. Interview invitations have been sent — check your email. Interviews take place September 12–13, and the first general meeting is September 14. Leadership applications are also closed.

No applications are open. General member interview invites are out — check your email if you applied. Selected members join a Fall 2026 project team in Finance, Engineering, or Software. Director, Project Manager, and other leadership applications are closed.

Prior experience is not required. We welcome motivated students and provide mentoring for members who are building new technical or professional skills.

No. Students from any major may apply. Teams are interdisciplinary by design and benefit from a range of academic backgrounds.

Prior involvement is required for Co-President and Treasurer. It is not required for VP or Director roles. Leadership applications are currently closed.

Pillar Leadership

Oversees one of Momentum's three core pillars. Serves as a liaison between Project Managers and the President/VPs, supports all project teams within the pillar, coordinates workshops, and proactively addresses roadblocks. This is an active leadership role requiring consistent, hands-on engagement with your pillar's teams.

Co-President

Works alongside the President to lead Momentum's vision, strategy, and operations. Represents the organization externally and ensures cross-functional collaboration across the board.

Treasurer

Manages Momentum's finances including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting. Works closely with leadership to allocate resources and maintain financial transparency.

Manages Momentum's relationships with external partners, sponsors, and the broader Purdue community. Leads outreach efforts and represents the organization externally.

VP of Marketing & Communications

Leads Momentum's brand presence, social media, and outward-facing communications. Develops content strategies and ensures consistent messaging across all platforms.

VP of Operations

Oversees logistics, event planning, and internal processes. Coordinates across teams to ensure seamless execution of all organizational activities.

Our Story

Momentum at Purdue was founded in Spring 2025 by international students from diverse academic backgrounds, who understand firsthand the challenges of finding career opportunities, building a community, and navigating involvement on campus — especially as minorities and women in STEM. Because of this, we are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where all students, regardless of background, can thrive, gain industry-relevant experience, and feel empowered in their professional journeys.
