We open applications each semester! Follow us on social media or check our website for updates.

Director applications are currently open — Directors oversee one of our three pillars (Finance, Engineering, or Software) and lead its project teams. Project Manager and General Member applications will open later this semester. For full details, visit the About page.

Nope! We welcome all motivated students — we have beginner-friendly roles and mentoring support.

Not at all! Students from any major are welcome. The competition is designed to bring together people with different skill sets and perspectives, so interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.

For Co-President and Treasurer roles, yes — prior involvement with Momentum is required. For VP and Director roles, no! We're a newer organization and actively welcome fresh perspectives and new faces in these positions.

Director — Finance, Engineering, or Software

Oversees one of Momentum's three core pillars. Serves as a liaison between Project Managers and the President/VPs, supports all project teams within the pillar, coordinates workshops, and proactively addresses roadblocks. This is an active leadership role requiring consistent, hands-on engagement with your pillar's teams.

Manages Momentum's finances including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting. Works closely with leadership to allocate resources and maintain financial transparency.

VP of Marketing & Communications

Leads Momentum's brand presence, social media, and outward-facing communications. Develops content strategies and ensures consistent messaging across all platforms.

Oversees logistics, event planning, and internal processes. Coordinates across teams to ensure seamless execution of all organizational activities.

Our Story

Momentum at Purdue was founded in Spring 2025 by international students from diverse academic backgrounds, who understand firsthand the challenges of finding career opportunities, building a community, and navigating involvement on campus — especially as minorities and women in STEM. Because of this, we are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where all students, regardless of background, can thrive, gain industry-relevant experience, and feel empowered in their professional journeys.
